Dr. Dahl is an anatomic and clinical pathologist with special interest and expertise in GI/Liver pathology, placental pathology and immunohistochemistry. She was recruited to the University of Michigan after fifteen years in private practice that included several years of exclusive GI/liver pathology focus in high volume specialty laboratories after which she founded the Mosaic companies in 2005. Mosaics pathology organizations included specialty GI/liver pathology and hospital-based pathology services at an institution associated with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Dahl actively engaged in academic pursuits throughout her career and has several journal publications, book chapters, and invited presentations reflecting her expertise in GI pathology and quality. As Associate Director she works with faculty colleagues, laboratorians and managers to provide a gateway for clinicians and patients throughout the United States to receive the benefit of pathology consultation and reference laboratory services at Michigan Medicine. In addition to resident/fellow educational lectures and instruction at the microscope, Dr. Dahl’s commitment to education extends to web-based educational content to increase the visibility of pathology as a medical specialty and to provide relevant content to our clients.
