Dr. John Zervos is the founding Executive Director of the Henry Ford Health Global Health Initiative (GHI), where he oversees strategy, management, and operations. His work focuses on fostering partnerships with ministries of health, hospitals, and universities worldwide and securing funding to support global health activities.
The initiative’s work has been featured in over 100 peer-reviewed journals, presented at conferences, and highlighted in national media. During the COVID-19 pandemic, John played key leadership roles, including establishing testing centers, overseeing vaccine trial sites, and managing community and mobile vaccination efforts. For his contributions, he was named a Crain’s Detroit 2021 Rising Star in Healthcare.
John holds a JD from Wayne State University and a bachelor’s degree from New York University. Outside of work, he serves on the boards of the Ruth Ellis Center and the HOPE Foundation.
