Dr. Jimmy Lee is an Emergency Medicine physician with a background in Psychology from McGill University and medical training from Trinity College Dublin. He completed his EM training in Ireland and holds a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Royal College of Physicians UK. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
With a subspecialist focus on Humanitarian Medicine, Jimmy has worked in emergency and trauma settings worldwide, including Liberia, Palestine, South Africa, Afghanistan, and Nigeria with Médecins Sans Frontières. He is passionate about medical education, serving as faculty at RCSI and the University of Galway, where he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in EM & Global Health.
Jimmy is the Airway Lead and Simulation & Procedural Training Lead for GUH ED and directs the Galway-Baragwanath Fellowship in Trauma Resuscitation in collaboration with Johannesburg’s Baragwanath Trauma Centre.
