Dr. Aleodor (Doru) Andea, MD, MBA, is a Professor of Pathology and Dermatology at the University of Michigan, specializing in Dermatopathology and Molecular Pathology. He earned his MD from “Victor Babes” University of Medicine in Romania, followed by residency at Wayne State University and fellowships at the Medical University of South Carolina and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Previously at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Andea served as Director of the Dermatopathology Fellowship and led research on melanocytic neoplasms. At Michigan, he established the Molecular Dermatopathology Research Laboratory and the Dermatopathology Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, focusing on molecular testing for melanocytic tumors. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications and frequently lectures on dermatopathology, molecular diagnostics, and digital pathology.
