Regien Biesma-Blanco is Associate Professor of Global Health at UMC Utrecht in the Netherlands and Vice President of the EUPHA Global Health Section. She has a background in Global Public Health and Epidemiology and worked for over a decade at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). Her work addresses access and equity in maternal and child health and medical education in fragile settings. She collaborates with PalMed Academy and medical universities in Gaza to support training under crisis conditions and promote solidarity-based learning.
