Dr. Usamah Mossallam is the Vice President and Medical Director for International Initiatives at Henry Ford Health, where he leads global projects, including licensed hospitals in Saudi Arabia and India, a visiting professor program in Dubai, and the international patient division.
Dr. Mossallam graduated from the SUNY Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and emergency medicine at Christiana Care Health System, where he also served as chief resident. Board-certified in both specialties, he joined Henry Ford Health in 1999, taking on leadership roles in residency programs and emergency medicine. He later served as Chairman of Emergency Medicine at the International Medical Center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, before returning to Henry Ford to oversee initiatives in hospital administration and utilization management as Chief Medical Officer – Associate.
Dr. Mossallam drives Henry Ford’s international collaborations and has advanced programs in hospital management, global partnerships, and education. His professional interests include diversity and inclusion, hospital administration, emergency medicine, and evidence-based medicine.
