Ryan Jaroudi graduated from the University of Michigan with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering in 2025 and plans to attend medical school in 2026. Ryan has been active in NAAMA NextGen throughout his undergraduate career, holding several leadership positions at various levels. He currently serves as the NAAMA NextGen Co-President, overseeing the establishment of new chapters across the country. Passionate about integrating technology into medicine, Ryan led the development of the NAAMA NextGen national membership database to enhance communication and organizational infrastructure. He is also currently Co-leading the planning of the NAAMA NextGen 6th National Summit, scheduled for early fall 2025.
Ryan is deeply interested in the intersection of medicine and engineering. Since his freshman year, he has contributed to biomedical research on hydrocephalus shunt failure and most recently led a senior capstone project designing a lateral flow immunoassay to improve food allergy diagnostics in mobile clinics serving low socioeconomic communities. He has also conducted research under Dr. Rouba Ali-Fehmi in the University of Michigan Department of Pathology, contributing to projects on medical education in conflict zones and cervical cancer survival rates. He is currently involved in global health research on diabetic neuropathy education in Tanta Egypt.
